FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Do I need modeling experience to participate?

No prior modeling experience is required, but it is recommended to ensure you get the most out of the workshop.

2. What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the workshop?

In case of bad weather, the workshop will either be rescheduled or relocated to an indoor space.

 

3. Can I bring a friend or manager with me?

Yes, you may bring a friend or manager, but you must contact the organizer in advance for approval.

4. Are group bookings allowed?

No, group bookings are not allowed due to the workshop’s limited availability.

5. Is there a waitlist if spots fill up?

Yes, all submissions that are not selected for the next workshop will go directly to a waitlist for consideration in the next workshop, or if a spot opens up for the current workshop.

6. What time does the workshop start and end?

Start and end times may vary and will be provided in the booking confirmation.

7. Will there be a makeup artist or stylist on-site?

Some workshops may have makeup artists and stylists available. This will be noted on the workshop page if applicable.

8. Can I bring my own photographer to capture additional content?

No, unauthorized photography and videography is strictly prohibited at The Look Book Workshop.

9. Will a changing area be available?

Yes, a designated changing area will be provided at all workshops.

10. Can I bring props or accessories for my shoot?

Yes, you may bring props or accessories, but they must not disrupt the environment or violate workshop guidelines.

11. Will my photos be posted on social media or used for promotion?

Yes, images taken during the workshop may be used for promotional purposes by the workshop organizers and photographers.

12. Can I use the photos for commercial purposes?

No, commercial use of the images (such as advertisements, product endorsements, or resale) is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from the photographer.

13. What’s the difference between the free workshop and the paid membership?

Membership provides exclusive benefits such as priority booking, extended shoot time, additional edits, and more.

14. Do you offer private one-on-one sessions outside of the workshop?

Yes, private sessions can be booked at www.lejuantruly.com.

15. How long does each model get in front of the camera?

  • Each model gets two, 20-Minute rotations in front of the camera.

  • Models can use both rotations for one look, or may bring a second look that reflects the style in the Moodboard Slideshow.

16. Can I request a specific photographer or shooting style?

The Look Book Workshop currently features one photographer, and all shoots follow the established creative style of the event.

17. What kind of lighting will be used?

Lighting varies from session to session and may include studio lighting, natural lighting, or a combination of both.

18. Are refunds available for paid upgrades?

Refunds are only issued if the event is canceled by the organizer. Individual cancellations or no-shows are not eligible for refunds.

19. Do I need to sign a model release or any paperwork?

No, By completing the booking form and agreeing to the terms and conditions, you are providing consent to the model release agreement. See terms below.

20. Will I receive guidance on posing during the shoot?

Some guidance will be provided, but modeling experience is recommended to maximize your time during the session.

21. Can I reschedule if I can’t make it?
Cancellations or no-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

22. How do I become a recurring model for future workshops?
By joining my membership program, you’ll receive priority booking, premium upgrades, and exclusive perks for future workshops.

23. Are workshops held at different locations?
Yes, workshops are hosted at various locations within and around Los Angeles, California.

24. Can I pay for additional edits later if I don’t decide at the event?
Yes, you can purchase additional edits before or after the workshop.

25. Can I get feedback on my portfolio or images after the shoot?
Yes, I’m happy to provide feedback on your images or portfolio after the session.

26. Will snacks or refreshments be provided?
Refreshments may not always be available at every workshop. However, as the workshop grows, I aim to make refreshments a regular offering.

27. How early should I arrive before my session starts?
You may arrive up to 15 minutes before the workshop begins.

28. Do I need to pay anything to attend the standard workshop?
While most standard workshops are free, there may be a small fee if the event is held at a venue or private studio.

29. Can I book a spot for a future workshop in advance?
You can only book one workshop at a time. To secure a spot in future workshops, you must purchase a membership.

30. How will I receive my photos after the shoot?
To secure a spot in the workshop, you will create an account on www.lejuantruly.com, There, a folder with all your photos will be created and uploaded after the workshop.

31. Do you offer video content or reels as an add-on?
Currently, I do not offer video content or reels as part of the workshop.

32. Is parking available near the event location?
Since locations vary, parking availability will differ. However, we always consider parking when organizing the event.

33. Can I bring multiple personal looks and choose on-site?
You may bring multiple looks, but without purchasing an additional looks or membership, only one or two moodboard reflected looks will be photographed.

34. Will there be an opportunity for networking with agencies or brands?
I hope to collaborate with agencies and brands in the future, providing networking opportunities for attendees.

35. Are pets allowed in the shoot?
No, pets are not allowed at the workshop.

36. What happens if I’m running late?
Workshops start and end at the scheduled times. Late arrivals may miss their rotation or their session entirely and no accommodations will be made if you are late.

37. Can I request a specific background or location within the space?
All backdrops and shooting areas are pre-designated. You must adhere to the planned settings for your session.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please review all workshop details to avoid misunderstandings regarding the workshop. The Look Book Workshop organizers are not responsible for misinterpretations or failure to review these terms.

THE LOOK BOOK WORKSHOP

1. GENERAL TERMS

  • The Look Book is an RSVP-based event with limited availability. Spots are secured on a first-come, first-served basis unless an attendee has an active membership, which guarantees priority access.

  • All attendees must be at least 18 years old. Minors (under 18) may only attend with prior written parental or guardian consent.

  • Professional and respectful behavior is required at all times. Any form of harassment, inappropriate conduct, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate removal without a refund.

  • Event details, including date, time, and location, are subject to change. Attendees will be notified in advance of any modifications.

2. BOOKING & PAYMENT

  • Your registration includes the standard package as outlined at the time of booking. Any upgrades or add-ons must be purchased in advance, at the event before the shoot begins, or afterward (if applicable).

  • All payments for upgrades, add-ons, or premium services are non-refundable unless the event is canceled or rescheduled by the organizer.

  • No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the event forfeit their spot and any pre-paid services. Rescheduling is not guaranteed but may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

3. PHOTO USAGE & RIGHTS

  • Models retain ownership of their images for personal use, portfolios, and self-promotion (social media, personal websites, comp cards, etc.).

  • The Look Book and its affiliated photographers retain the right to use images for marketing, social media promotion, and event materials, unless the model explicitly opts out in writing before the event.

  • Commercial usage of the images (e.g., advertisements, product endorsements, or resale) is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from the photographer.

    • Photography & Media Release – I grant the photographers and organizers of The Look Book Workshop the right to capture, edit, and use my images for promotional, commercial, and portfolio purposes.

    • Usage Rights – I understand that my images may be used across digital, print, and social media platforms, including but not limited to marketing materials, website galleries, and social media promotions.

    • Non-Exclusive Rights – I retain personal use rights to the images but acknowledge that the photographers and organizers have full discretion over their use.

    • No Compensation – I understand that I will not receive payment for the use of my images, and participation in the workshop does not entitle me to royalties or future compensation.

    • Liability Waiver – I release The Look Book Workshop organizers, photographers, and affiliated parties from any claims or disputes regarding the use of my images.

    • Agreement Confirmation – By submitting this form, I confirm that I have read, understand, and agree to the terms outlined above.

4. LIABILITY & SAFETY

​ 

  • Attendees participate at their own risk. The Look Book, its organizers, and affiliated photographers are not liable for personal injury, lost/stolen items, or unforeseen incidents that may occur during the event.

  • The event takes place on a high-rise rooftop, and all attendees must adhere to building safety protocols. Any reckless behavior, failure to follow safety guidelines, or unauthorized access to restricted areas will result in removal without refund.

  • Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings. The event staff will not be held accountable for any lost or damaged property.

5. IMAGE DELIVERY & EDITING

​ 

  • Raw (unedited) JPEG images will be delivered within 24 hours of the shoot.

  • Additional high-end edits, retouching, or special editing requests are available for an additional fee. Processing time for edits will be communicated at the time of purchase.

  • Edited images will be provided in the highest resolution available but may be subject to additional delivery timelines based on demand.

6. CANCELLATIONS & POSTPONEMENTS

  • In the event of cancellation or postponement by The Look Book, all registered attendees will be notified as soon as possible and given the option to reschedule or receive a credit toward a future event.

  • Refunds are only issued if the event is canceled by the organizer. Individual cancellations or no-shows are not eligible for refunds.

  • If unforeseen weather conditions or venue restrictions impact the event, the organizer will determine if the event will proceed or be rescheduled.

7. THIRD-PARTY PARTICIPANTS & NETWORKING

  • Industry professionals (photographers, makeup artists, stylists, etc.) attending for networking must adhere to the same professional conduct expectations as models.

  • Unauthorized photography, videography, or solicitation of models for external projects outside of approved event collaborations is strictly prohibited.

  • Any collaborations or networking conducted during the event should remain professional and within the agreed scope of the workshop.

8. MEMBERSHIPS & EXCLUSIVE BENEFITS

  • Attendees with a membership receive priority booking, extended shoot options, additional looks, and access to all future shoot locations at no additional cost.

  • Membership perks are non-transferable and may not be shared with non-members.

  • Members must still RSVP for each event within the required timeframe to secure their spot. Failure to attend without prior notice may impact future reservations.
