Aqua is a music video-inspired editorial test film created to explore a cinematic visual style through location, atmosphere, and performance. Featuring model OZZY, the project was filmed along the rugged coastline of Southern California as a creative exercise focused on developing imagery that feels elevated, immersive, and emotionally driven rather than performance-centric.

The location itself became one of the project's strongest storytelling elements. Towering rock formations, ocean waves, and naturally textured landscapes provided a striking contrast to the model's graceful presence, creating a balance between elegance and raw terrain. An overcast sky produced soft, even lighting throughout the day, allowing the film to transition seamlessly between dark cave interiors and expansive coastal vistas while preserving detail across every frame.

Color played a defining role in shaping the final look. The cool blue tones of the ocean and sky, combined with deliberate camera movement and pacing, create a calm, cinematic atmosphere that ties the film together. As with many of my music video projects, the focus extends beyond simply capturing a performance—instead emphasizing visual storytelling, intentional composition, and an environment that feels just as important as the subject itself.
